5 Tips for Perfect Embroidery Lettering

Here are 5 tips to help you get perfect embroidery lettering.  Watch the video with Trevor for a better description of how and why to adjust your text for the best results.

1)Size is about the size of the column width as much as it is about the height and width of the text.

2)Spaces need to be adjusted visually so the letters look balanced with equal spaces.

3)Satin Stitch is the most common choice however Satin Split and Patterned Fill are also popular options.

4)Underlay style is very important you need to have enough to help the letters look clean but too much can make it look messy.

5)Learn to compensate for “Push and Pull” the pheromone where satin stitch columns get skinnier and longer.  Learning to compensate for this is key to getting your text to look like it sits on a strait line and all letters are the same size.
