All members of Trevor and Friends Embroidery Club Season 02 are invited to the 2024 Members Retreat. This is an on line retreat and you can attend the classes live however members can also download and collect the classes to enjoy on your own time. The Retreat goal is to master the basics of Hooping ,Thread and Stabilizers. The retreat is broken into 5 all new classes that you can attend live and also download and collect. EC02 – 2024 Member Retreat class 1 – Monday August 26th 3:00pm Eastern Time – Welcome to the Retreat with prizes and highlights of the designs and projects we have created so far. This class is an introduction to Trevors Embroidery Recipe Box and we learn about the two main questions you need to know before you can create you own embroidery recipe. If you learn to catch fish you can eat for life!
EC02 – 2024 Member Retreat class 2 – Tuesday August 27th 3:00pm Eastern Time – Thread Talk with Trev – This is a fascinating look at the different types of embroidery thread and the reasons to use them. Gain valuable tips on sewing with thick and thin sizes of embroidery thread. See beautiful examples including Metallic and Variegated threads.
EC02 – 2024 Member Retreat class 3 – Wednesday August 28th 3:00pm Eastern Time – Anatomy of an Embroidery Design – Learn valuable tips on changing the size of the designs you already own and how to know when smaller is too small and how big is too big? Study design density learn how to know when a design is too dense and how to resolve that. What are the different types of embroidery stitches and how do you change them.
EC02 – 2024 Member Retreat class 4 – Thursday August 29th 3:00pm Eastern Time – Hooping Techniques and Stabilizers – learn about the different types of stabilizers and when to use each type. Learn answers to questions like “When do you need to fuse the stabilizer” or “when to use a sticky kind” or “what does it mean to float stabilizer”.
EC02 – 2024 Member Retreat class 5 – Friday August 30th 3:00pm Eastern Time -Trevors Favourite Tools – This is a fun class where Trevor will show some of his favourite tools that make the process easier. Work smarter not harder! We will have contest winners and so much more.
